Philippe Perennès – France

Philippe Perennès

France

After studying chemistry, which introduced him to the study of the mineral world, and then training as a gardener, which brought him closer to the plant world, Philippe Perennès became involved with the animal world by working on a biodynamic farm in Germany. This was the opportunity for him to discover the activities linked to anthroposophy and the existence of the Steiner schools.

He then followed the Waldorf pedagogy course at the Dornach seminar in Switzerland. After completing this course, he began teaching in Switzerland as a class teacher from 1982 to 1986, and from 1986 to the present day at the Mathias Grunewald School in Colmar, France.

In parallel to this activity, he has dedicated himself to the study of the senses and their development by following his passion for movement (dance, juggling). He has published several essays on this theme: “From the real to the virtual, the migration of sensory perceptions” and “Meeting with the 12 senses”.

Involved in training seminars in France and abroad, he strives to transmit the essential values of pedagogy to seminarians.

Education of the future: a new challenge

… for all… in all senses

“As far as the future is concerned, it is not a matter of foreseeing it but of making it possible.”

A 4-month-old baby tries to sing to a Karen Carpenter song.
A heart-melting video that illustrates Philippe’s theme of the senses.

Adrienne Heim – USA

Adrienne Heim

USA

Founding executive director of Green Generations
In 2002 she started her educational career as a Teach for America corps member at PS1 in the South Bronx. For almost six years she was a bilingual (Spanish and English) first, second, and third grade teacher and organized and directed an after-school choral program for two years. In 2006, she participated in NOAA’s Teacher at Sea program and in the same year moved to Paris to join the Living School team — an innovative primary school dedicated to holistic, whole-child, and environmental teaching practices.

Her dream and mission: to create an organization where children, parents, and teachers would learn to develop their potential in a joyful, loving, and respectful environment so they, in turn, can become community leaders, responsible eco-citizens, and make meaningful contributions to the world.
Green Generations is the realization of her vision and culmination of years of teaching experience, study with experts in the field, and extensive research that carried her across America and beyond to the most innovative and cutting-edge schools and green community center initiatives in existence today.

Adrienne has a Master’s of Science in Education with an extension in bilingual education.  She is also a New York State certified elementary teacher (Pre-K – 6), holds a Certificate in Fundraising from NYU George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising, and is a certified yoga teacher for children. She frequently participated in Ethical Leadership trainings by Edel Gott, author of “Now or Never: The Urgence to Act” during her time in France. Currently,  Adrienne is enrolled in a program to earn a Trauma-Informed Certificate from the University of Buffalo School of Social Work. She adores teaching and has a passion for inspiring others.

She resides in New York with her husband, two children, and pets.

Conference

The making of the terrible child and the drama of the wise child

A call to goodwill towards oneself… and towards children and adolescents.

This conference is a call to kind-heartedness through all the current knowledge in neuroscience. Firstly, kind-heartedness towards ourselves, to identify our counter-productive reactivity and to encourage our integrity. Secondly, and most importantly, kind-heartedness to children and students, in order to offer them a coherent, consistent and secure educational framework to contribute to their educational success.

School of Reality
Michael and Della founded it in 2016.
Based on an original approach that bridges psychotherapy and non-duality, the School offers concrete tools to move from the suffering perspective of the separate ego, to the unified perspective of Being and its lived experience in simplicity in everyday life.

“How can we, the adults, re-educate ourselves to accompany the children towards a future of joy and love, free of our limiting conditionings? An awakening of consciousness is necessary. We are called to profoundly change our view of ourselves, our children and what Life is, if we wish, all together, to manifest the potential of humanity to live in peace and respect, in harmony with Mother Earth.

Michaël
A lawyer and therapist by training, he is the author of several books on non-duality, including his latest book “Infinite Consciousness”.

Della
Emergency doctor, Doctor of souls, she is the author of “The Heart Open to the Infinite” published in 2016 by Accarias l’Originel

Their innovative approach is detailed in the book they co-authored: “Et si j’étais la Vie?“.
