This Sunday, April 24, is the anniversary of the Mother’s installation in India, in the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry. It is also the anniversary of the founding of the Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir. For the past 29 years, Ramchandra Das has been taking in children from the most disadvantaged backgrounds in Nepal and providing them with a large, loving and joyful family. True to the teachings of Integral Yoga, he provides them with a holistic and comprehensive education, instruction through to university (and beyond) and a dignified and responsible future.

On April 25, 2015, the famous earthquake destroyed part of the ashram buildings in a matter of seconds… but a real miracle spared everyone: no one was in the place where the bricks fell from the 4th floor… a place which is however the heart of the ashram, in front of the kitchen and the refectory, where most of the children and young people are at mealtime… where they should have been at the time of the earthquake if everything had not happened otherwise. This is a reflection of Ramchandra’s work over the past 29 years: a never-ending series of small (or larger) miracles!

Dances of Nepal and Sacred Dances of India

April 24 is a day of intense and joyful celebration for all in the Ashram.
On this occasion, the children and young people of the Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir will offer their dances to the world.

Ramchandra Das – Nepal

Ramchandra Das

Yogi, Founder of the Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir (SAYM).

Born in a small remote village in the Himalayas, he spent many months in the mountains, alone with the cows, from the age of 7, despite the tigers, leopards and incessant rain in the summer. At the age of 12, he decides to leave everything: his family, his village, his mountains and his country. He left on foot, without saying anything, with a few young men to reach India. There, he thinks that he can earn money. He wants to help his parents and his family. From one adventure to another, he became a soldier at the age of 12 and a half, then a mendicant monk at 15 and a yogi at 21.

Returning to his native country after 20 years, he founded the SAYM and a first ashram-school. The community welcomes children from the most disadvantaged backgrounds in Nepal, free of charge, from kindergarten to university and beyond. It develops a holistic education based on integral yoga, the joy of serving and working for others, the community and the world.

Each child, at his or her own pace, discovers little by little what motivates him or her and what he or she wishes to dedicate his or her life to.

Conference

A Lifetime of Discovering Integral Education inspired by The Mother

“Delivered to myself and to the Divine since my childhood, my life has been an uninterrupted series of trials, experiences and various initiations, sometimes extreme, sometimes extraordinary and magical, which have gradually forged this incredible adventure of an educational ashram essentially made up of children and young people, a true school of Joy and Self-giving.”

Armelle Six – Belgium

Armelle Six

Belgium

Visionary, intuitive, full of joy, Armelle has been teaching for more than 10 years the awakening to one’s true nature, listening to life and presence in daily life, as well as conscious parenting.

She created Movement of life and Be&Move, two movement practices to come back to oneself. She is also trained in Healing and Integration of cultural, collective and transgenerational traumas. She has travelled to many countries to share the innate joy that Is without reason, as well as the peace that underlies all our experiences.

Her presence, gentleness, naturalness and simplicity touch all those she meets.

For her, we are here on earth with the purpose of awakening to Who We Are and living from that space. Listening to life is the path of joy, of alignment with Being and the one she has been practicing for many years, so what she teaches is what she lives every day: every moment, every situation, every difficulty is an opportunity to come back to Who We Are, to discover ourselves more and to come back to this Moment, here and now, empty of any interpretation.

Conference

Being a parent or teacher – a path of spiritual elevation for all!

Growing together is the maxim of my approach to conscious parenting. Indeed, who can say that since becoming a parent they have not grown, learned from their children? What teacher has not learned from his pupils?
I propose to reverse the paradigm of education to move towards the elevation of each member of the family or the class. It is through the humility of the adult that another possibility in the relationship is possible. Isn’t love what is most important?

The moon, in astrology, highlights very different ways of existing and learning

We are not in nature, we are Nature… the Consciousness that comes to express itself in matter, in the school of manifestation and to offer its “medicine” to the world.
Let us look together at how the moon in each sign of the zodiac invites a singular way of Being, of contacting “the One who knows within” and of drawing on this intrinsic Wisdom. Knowing and respecting these differences is essential in the development of each child.

Priska Maria Broese

Ambassador and bridge builder of the new earth, she is an event and festival organiser, yoga teacher and corporate mediator. She is currently focusing on the development of spaces for young and old – the new villages for Bavaria and Austria.

With the Living Earth Academy platform, she and many others are providing knowledge and development spaces for the new era.

For this special event on babies and early childhood, she has invited:

Inglind Lang

A relationship pedagogue and relationship therapist, she has been supervising educational teams in various institutions since 1995.
Since 2009, she has been offering support to adults via image and form therapy and to ‘special’ children via relationship-oriented play therapy. Since 2017, she has founded and facilitated playgroups “babies and young children with their parents”

“Just as every seed “knows” which plant it will grow into, we humans also have this being guided from within. In order to be able to develop our potential, we need sensitive, secure bonds and relationships with the people we live with and who accompany us in life. From the first moment we need respect, recognition, and joy in our uniquenes.”

Karsten Czimmek

He studied theology, philosophy and mathematics before becoming an educator.

His long experience in pedagogy led him to become director of the Montessori kindergarten Niederseeon since 1996 and to offer further training and coaching to childcare professionals.

He is a founding member of Wege der Entfaltung e.V. (Munich), and of Pikler Association Europe e.V.

“At the heart of our work is each individual human being, with their inherent need to express themselves and bring into reality the essence of their own being. We consider education to be essentially a question of self-building (the German word Bildung means education as well as constituting in the sense of forming and image-making). This requires constantly and radically re-thinking things from the standpoint of the child, in order to foster their personal development. At the same time, we strive to provide the children with orientation, from a humanistic point of view, to help them learn to navigate between their own interests and those of others in the situations that arise in everyday life together.”

Conference

Mindfulness Education with babies and toddlers up to 6 years

On the path initiated by Emmi Pikler, Hungarian pediatrician and innovator of the last century

All experiences in the first years of life shape attitudes towards life, personal convictions and belief patterns. How can we accompany newborns, infants and young children so that they can form and develop a free, self-confident and fun-loving personality?
How can the experiences and knowledge of pioneering pedagogues in the field of infant and young child education, such as Emmi Pikler, be put into practice and further developed?
