"The EFF scholarship really gave my life a new turn for the better. I got [the] opportunity to go to one of the best schools in Kenya, [which] was otherwise nowhere within my reach. This opportunity has changed my view of the world.  I am now more focused and goal-oriented in life than ever before.  I know what I want to achieve in life and I know exactly how to go about it."

-- Aloise, now making preparations to attend university in Brazil on a full-ride academic scholarship

Should you choose to make a donation, there are three main types of sponsorship:

1) Full Sponsorship:

As a full sponsor you agree to support a child’s schooling in its entirety for the duration of their studies. The length of their studies vary depending on the grade level of the student when they apply, but the sponsorship is for no longer than four years. The average cost of secondary school in Kenya including tuition, room and board is around $450 per year. We encourage you to ask family, friends, neighbors or community groups to sponsor a child together. All people involved will receive information about the child you sponsor and updates on the student’s progress in school.

2) Partial Sponsorship:

This option is for those of you who would like to split the cost of sponsorship but are unable to find a group of people to share the cost. As a partial sponsor you agree to finance a fraction of the child’s education, and we will find other partial sponsors to complete the needed amount. As with full sponsorship you will receive information about the child you sponsor and updates about their progress in school.

3) General Fund:

Donations to our general fund are used for general operating costs. In addition, donations to this fund are used to finance training programs for our students, and are occassionally used to sponsor fourth year students who are close to completion but unable to obtain a sponsor.
